The Website

September 10th

There are several updates on the website.

Kay just gets better and better. Scroll down to the Member News section on our front page to read the latest from Bill, WØQNI, about her.

We received a listing for the Swap Net via e-mail. You don't have to wait until Wednesday's net to submit a listing. You can do so anytime via email to me, WA6HZN.

Earl's estate sale is almost over, but there is an ICOM solid state power amp still for sale as of yesterday.

September 2nd

The Swap Net page has been updated.

August 19th

If you missed the hamfest in Santa Barbara last weekend, you can catch a few photos from that event HERE.

Kay, Bill's wife, is doing much better now. There's a brief report in our Member News section. The best way to keep up on Kay's condition and prospects is to tune into our WARFA net, 3908 Khz., Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday at 8PM Pacific Time.

Taco Wednesday is coming to the retreat!

The Latest -- June 13th

The gi-normous (as they like to say on HGTV) group photo is available on the Spring 2009 Retreat Page. More photos of the WARFA band concert are coming soon and I'm eagerly awaiting more photos from the retreat and will post them shortly after they arrive!

Snow: As of today, almost every TV station in the USA is broadcasting in a digital format. Last night the DTV website (dtv.gov) crashed, but it's working again as of about an hour ago (2 pm). This website, dtv.gov, is the place to go for information on how to get your picture back.

We're Back!

We needed to move the site to a new server.

Our domain was reactivated this morning at around 11AM and I immediately uploaded the site to its new server space. Your friendly webwolf (Don't shoot, I'm only the webmaster!) is partially to blame for the long outage, but much of the delay was due to circumstances beyond my control.

We are now being hosted by a top nationwide internet service provider. The downtime that we were experiencing with our old server should become a thing of the past.

Spring 2009 Retreat Page: The first version our Spring 2009 recap page is online. Consider it as "under construction", but do check it out frequently as we'll be uploading photos from the retreat over the next week or two.

DTV: We've pulled our DTV page, but if you need information about converting to digital TV, it's here at dtv.gov.
