Me, WN6HZN, the proto-nerd, at age 15 in 1968. The box behind me is a Knight-Kit R-100A receiver with my log book sitting on top of it. My silly tee shirt says: QRS Player Rolls Are Better. Player rolls are the "programmes" for player pianos.

Myself, a few years ago in my yid gear. Photo taken by a fellow who mentored me when I was becoming a webmaster. Rob would probably keel over if he could see this page.

Hi, I'm the WARFA Swap Net Manager and Net Control. I'm also the coDe gEEk and one of the design coordinators for the WARFA website. The other design coordinator is Bill, WØQNI.

I am a night person. My idea of early rising is lunch time. Bart Standard Time is GMT + 10 hours which means that I'm in sync with Australia.

Arbitrarily chosen stuff about me...

August 2008: I spent my adolescence in a nice tract house in the east side of Modesto. These days, I live in a craftsman in Modesto's Mid Town that was originally bought by my maternal grandfather. My mom lives in a 2nd house on this lot behind my garage and we've turned my garage into a tiny apartment for one of my nephews who will be attending CSUS, Turlock beginning in the Fall of 2008.

My one minor academic accomplishment is a BA in mathematics from CSUS, Turlock, confered in 1989. I could have gone on and taught high school math (or back to school), but decided to do other things like keeping crabby microwave transmitters on mountain tops functional.

A few of my favourite places on the internet...

Stars Created by Jim Kaler, Prof. Emeritus of Astronomy, University of Illinois -- This web site is a marvel of simplicity in style and is packed with bite sized articles about astronomy. Dr. Kaler has created a companion website, Skylights updated every Friday with observing tips for the coming week and his star of the week.

BBC News (Low Graphics Version) Discovered this one when I was on a dial up and still really love it. No ads, no in your face headlines, just news in a simple linear format.
