WARFA Band Hams It Up!

On Saturday night, May 16, 2009 during the WARFA retreat - the largest band ever assembled by WARFA put on a fantastic performance.

The music covered all bases, Rock, Country, Blues, Show tunes, Reggae, Calypso, Patriotic, and standards.

On stage was band leader Billy Yates (n6yw) on guitar, Tim Law on guitar, Evelyn Cobian (kc6iwu) on percussion, Moody Law (wq6i) on vocals and percussion, Elpidio Cobian (n6vjd) on bongos and other calypso instruments and vocals, Mel Creston (ka6hyk) on drums,

Marty Woll (n6vi)- ARRL Vice Director for SW Division on bass, John Labrum (wb6jon) on guitar, Mike "show me the money" (kf6zol) on harmonica and drums and traveling all the way from Seattle, WA. to perform with the group was recording artist Michael Geier (kb1um) on keyboards and vocals.

At the request of the large crowd, the performance took place outside on a grassy knoll under the tall oaks - instead of the rec. hall where performances are usually held.

No, this was not WOODSTOCK or the BURNING MAN festival. For those assembled who know about these festivals...having performed at

WOODSTOCK for instance, as El Pidio did .... This was professional and BETTER.
