WARFA Home Page
I had an MRI of my back on July 8 which indicates that I have a herniated disk at S1-L5 (lower back). I saw a neurosurgeon at OHSU Spine Center in Portland today. Dr. Nemecek tells me that it can be corrected surgically with relatively low risk and a relatively good prognosis. I must use a walker to get around now because the pain in my left thigh is so severe. I am scheduled to have the surgery on August 8 at OHSU Hospital (Oregon Health Science University Hospital).
I disconnected my antenna feed line during a big lightning storm and have not felt like going outside to pull it through the wall into my shack, so I have not checked into WARFA for quite a while. Would you please tell Bill (W0QNI) what I have told you and let him know that I will check in as soon as I can. I have the HF6V assembled, and a friend of mine lent me his MFJ259B analyzer, so I should be able to use that antenna as soon as all of this is over with. I hope all is well with you and Carol, and I hope you get some rain soon.
Take care.
